Carlisle/Wortman Associates designed a nine-hole disc golf course in the City of Woodhaven’s Civic Center Park. It’s open to the public year-round, weather permitting. Players can bring their own discs or borrow a set for free at the community center.
Golfers throw Frisbee®-like plastic discs towards an elevated metal basket. As with regular golf, they make several throws, dodging hazards like trees, shrubs and terrain changes. The winner is the competitor with the lowest score. The game is free and designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders. Visit the Professional Disc Golf Association for rules and instruction.
