Parks and Recreation Master Plan
Village of Dundee, MI

Following a series of workshops with community stakeholders, public officials, staff, and residents, a vision for parks and recreation in Dundee was articulated to guide recreation planning and development efforts of the Village over the next five years. The plan’s main recommendations for the next few years include redevelopment of a community park at Waterworks Park, improvements to Wolverine Park, and continued efforts to establish a Village-wide continuous pathway system.

Since adoption of the plan, the Village of Dundee has been able to update its “Promoting Active Communities” assessment to a gold level. The assessment evaluated the community’s built environment, policies, and programs related to promoting and supporting physical activity. The award recognizes that Dundee is an innovative Michigan community that is making it easier for its citizens to lead an active lifestyle.
